However, given the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel it is our responsibility to only offer essential travel services until further notice. By taking this temporary pause from non-essential travel, we can show some important leadership during these uncertain times.

Is your trip essential or non-essential?

If you are unsure whether or not your trip is essential or non-essential travel, please reach out to us at info@bus.com. To learn more about current or future trips, please refer to our COVID-19 FAQ. Please note that Bus.com has the right to refuse travel requests that we believe would endanger the safety of our bus partners or the general public.

Essential travel

Bus.com is currently running trips that count as essential travel. Essential travel could include but is not limited to:

  • Certain business and student trips
  • The transportation of health and emergency personnel
  • The transportation of goods and services
  • The movement of military services
  • Family emergencies

Non-essential travel

You can still book non-essential travel — these types of trips will resume once health official recommendations allow. By planning ahead, you can take advantage of low prices and a flexible change/cancellation policy. Non-essential trips include but are not limited to:

  • Most student and business trips
  • Non-emergency family trips
  • Leisurely travel

Additional safety measures

While safety is always our #1 priority, we have enacted new measures to ensure that our trips are run in a way protects the well-being of our customers and drivers. This includes but is not limited to:

  • The disinfecting of buses between every trip
  • The provision of cleaning materials to bus drivers
  • Running buses at half-capacity (social distancing)
