Your driver’s hotel fee is automatically calculated when a driver’s total number of driving hours exceeds the daily limits set by the Department of Transportation in the United States and Canada. In the United States, a driver can legally drive for upwards of ten hours and be on duty for 12, at which point they need to take an eight-hour break. In Canada, drivers can legally drive for 12 hours and be on duty for 14 hours, at which point they have to take an eight-hour break.

The hotel bookings for our drivers are usually made by our procurement team and are typically around $150 per night, though this may vary depending on location and seasonality.
