Sustainable, or “green” event management focuses on achieving the event goals without compromising environmental and social responsibility. All choices during the event planning, organization, and implementation are made based on sustainability principles. The suppliers and vendors selected are expected to follow green practices. Venues can be powered by renewable energy, the catering can use local produce, and the waste reduced.
Transportation to and from the event is essential for its success, but a fleet of private cars contributes to city pollution and adds to the greenhouse gases. A bus is a more sustainable option: it is a large vehicle, but it allows to replace at least 20-25 individual cars. Bus.com bus charter cuts the event’s carbon footprint at least in half.

The contest is so famous that it was featured in over a dozen TV shows and programs. Yellow penalty cards are issued for “messy eating,” and disqualification follows the “reversal of fortune.” The ties are resolved by eating five hot dogs in a row.
