Bus.com Referral Program Terms
The Bus.com Referral Program (“The Referral Program”) allows Bus.com Customers to earn promotional rewards (“Rewards”) by referring people to become customers of Bus.com.
To participate, Customers must agree to these terms, which become part of the Bus.com Terms of Service.
How to Earn Referral Rewards
Customers can earn Rewards if: (i) a referred person clicks on their referral link to create a valid Bus.com account that complies with our Terms of Service; and (ii) the referred person completes a Qualifying Booking (as defined below). The referring Customer can not earn Rewards for anyone in the same organization as them (i.e. student groups, business, non-profit, sports team, etc.).
The referring Customer will receive the reward specified in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials after the completion of the referred person’s Qualifying Booking. A referring Customer can earn one reward per referred person completing a Qualifying Booking.
The maximum Rewards value that can be earned per Customer will be $5,000 CAD total in respect of Qualifying Bookings made by referred people, unless indicated otherwise in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials.
Qualifying Bookings
A Booking is defined as a single paid booking transaction for a bus trip on Bus.com platform, regardless of the number of Bus booked for the trip. A Qualifying Booking must be a first-time booking with Bus.com. The booking must happen in a maximum of 60 days after the person was referred by a Customer through the Customer unique referral link. The Qualifying Booking must be booked and paid for via the Bus.com platform, and the referred person must complete the trip before the referring Customer can receive Rewards
A booking will not be considered a Qualifying Booking, and therefore no reward will be earned, if the referring Customer is in the same company or organization as the referred Customer, if the booking is not fully paid or if the booking is cancelled at any time.
Redeeming Rewards
Rewards will be issued by email from Bus.com. Once issued, Rewards must be used within one year, after which they will expire, unless otherwise stated.
Rewards may not be earned by creating multiple Bus.com Accounts. Rewards accrued in separate Bus.com accounts may not be combined into one Bus.com account or organization.
If for any reason you believe that you are entitled to a reward that you have not received, Bus.com may require you to submit additional information in order to make a determination regarding your entitlement. All decisions regarding your entitlement will be final and at Bus.com’s sole discretion.
Sharing Referral Links
Referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites, Reddit, or Wikipedia) or on blogs. Customers are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. Customers are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral links.
Referred People
Referred people who have signed up using a valid referral link will also receive a reward indicated in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials. Offer available while seats last. Bus.com reserves the right to any remedy, including retraction of entitlement, if fraud, tampering, violations of these terms or Bus.com’s Terms of Service or Payments Terms of Service, or technical errors are suspected. Void where prohibited.
Multiple Referrals
A referred person may only use one referral link. If a referred person receives referral links from multiple Customers, only the Customer associated with the referral link actually used by the referred person will receive reward.
The Program may not be combined with other Bus.com referral programs or incentives.
Severability
If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Termination and Changes
Bus.com may suspend or terminate the Program or a user’s ability to participate in it at any time for any reason.
We reserve the right to remove rewards if we notice any activity that we believe is abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of the Bus.com Terms of Service or Payments Terms of Service. We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.
The scope, variety, and type of services and products that you may obtain by redeeming rewards can change at any time.
Updates to the Terms
We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued participation in the Program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
