Announcing Bus.com's First Annual STEM Scholarship

At Bus.com, we believe in encouraging, nurturing, and inspiring younger generations in order to shape a better future for us all. While all educational pursuits are noble and valuable, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) students play a particularly vital role in how our world will move forward through today’s exponentially digital age.

This is why Bus.com is proud to announce our first annual $5,000 STEM Scholarship, open to students enrolled in a 2-4 year college or university STEM program for the fall 2019 semester.

Why STEM?

As a tech startup, Bus.com firmly trusts in the power of scientific and technological innovation.

After all, frontrunners in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics have tackled some of the biggest challenges in history. In terms of our personal story, Bus.com wouldn’t have evolved into what it is today without our forward-thinking trailblazers who dared push the boundaries of science, tech, engineering, and math.

We also realize that higher education isn’t always financially feasible to those who want it most – a problem that we are proactively trying to help solve. Our STEM scholarship program aims to alleviate the financial struggle of one deserving student each year, so that they can pursue an education they’re passionate about and hone their skills to become one of tomorrow’s great minds in our industry.

Each applicant is asked to submit a short personal essay of ~500 words, describing either why they chose to pursue a STEM education or how this scholarship will help them attain their short-term STEM education goals. The essays of the top 10 applicants will be short-listed on Bus.com’s website 2 weeks before the winner is announced, on August 6, 2019. The student with the winning essay will walk away with $5,000 to help fund their academic pursuits.

Applications will be accepted from March 13 to July 6, 2019. Consult Bus.com’s STEM scholarship page for more information about the scholarship and how to enter.
