Capital One Arena — formerly Verizon Center — is an indoor arena located in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, DC. It is home to the Wizards (NBA), the Capitals (NHL), and the Georgetown University basketball team. It used to be the home of the Washington Mystics of the WNBA.

Nationals Park is a stunning baseball park in the Navy Yard neighborhood, alongside the Anacostia River. The ballpark is home to Washington Nationals. With the investment of almost $800 million, the venue is not only technologically advanced, but it is also the first LEED-certified green stadium owned by major sports teams. Audi Field is another recent addition to the Wasington, DC sports scene. This soccer-specific stadium opened in Buzzard Point in 2018. The stadium is the home base for the Major League Soccer team D.C. United, plus, starting 2020, the XFL’s DC Defenders. The 20,000-seat venue also welcomes lacrosse, football, and business events.

FedEx Field is in Landover, Maryland, five miles east of Washington, DC. It is an American football stadium hosting the Washington Football Team (former Washington Redskins) of the National Football League (NFL). The stadium has a substantial capacity — over 82 000 seats — but its location made the attendance a bit tricky. Traveling via public transportation is inconvenient and time-consuming, so Washington, DC charter bus and shuttle rentals remain the most convenient option.

Washington Capitals, or just the Capitals, have been Washington’s primary professional hockey team since 1974. After many difficult seasons, the team’s turning point arrived with Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alexander Ovechkin: the Capitals won the Eastern Conference champions title of the 2017-18 season and their first Stanley Cup in 2018.

Nicknamed “the Nats,” the Washington Nationals compete in the Eastern Division of the MLB’s National League. After a long track without any record, this spirited underdog won their first World Series pennant in 2019.

The Washington Wizards are a baseball pro-team competing in the Southeast Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Although they have not delivered much in the way of record-breaking performances yet, their games are always a worthy sight: notably, Michael Jordan played his last season in the NBA for the Wizards. The Wizards also own the NBA G League team Capital City Go-Go.

D.C. United is DC’s original Major League Soccer club’s team. They are one of the most successful and loved MSL teams. The United has won four MLS Cups, the US Open Cup, and several other major trophies. In 2018, the United claimed Audi Field as their new home.
