About the Long Beach Airport

 

Formerly known as Daugherty Field, Long Beach Airport is one of the easier commercial service airports to fly in and out of in the greater Los Angeles area. It provides non-stop access to 18 destinations and is home to five airline carriers, including Delta, American, Hawaiian, and Southwest. The airport has been a staple of the Long Beach community for more than 95 years and is located just three miles northeast of downtown Long Beach. 

 

Long Beach Airport is well-suited to serve both leisure and business travellers. The lounge in the passenger concourse is equipped with free Wi-Fi so you can get that last email out before you hop on your flight. There are also a number of dining options within the airport terminals, including McKenna’s Burger Bar and George’s Greek Cafe in the North Concourse, Boathouse on the Bay in the South Concourse, and Little Brass Cafe in the Historic Terminal. 

 

Long Beach Airport is owned and operated by the City of Long Beach and it is an important community hub. The airport’s volunteer tour program gives local students opportunities to explore the ins and outs of a major aviation hub, as well as an important manufacturing and business center that makes significant contributions to its local economy.
